New England Primate Research Center/Harvard Medical School – Research Building 6

Southborough, Massachusetts

The New England Primate Research Center is at the center of non-human primate and biomedical research. As one of four buildings designed by Trapani + Associates on this campus, RB6 houses biomedical research labs, equipment and specimen processing areas, administrative support and a 110-seat state-of-the-art auditorium

Located on a heavily wooded site adjacent to conservation land, the client requested that the building include views of the natural woodlands and site access to the existing walking paths. Antique stone walls were carefully cataloged and integrated into the site design. The 110-seat auditorium supports research presentations and worldwide teaching seminars
